The perfect is the enemy of the good. Do you suffer from untreated Perfectionism? Symptoms include procrastination, unfinished projects, and a damaged creative impulse. Ask yourself about a new treatment: GoodEnough-itrol. GoodEnough-itrol is a new, mantra-based solution that helps you stop crushing your efforts under the weight of your expectations. Side effects may include lame lyrics, poor poetry, saggy souffles, and putrid paintings.
Fellow perfectionists – isn’t it time we gave ourselves permission to create? Perfection isn’t a prerequisite for beauty or meaning. My resolution for 2008: start doing.

Your resolution is the same as my reason for starting a blog: to write more, and to DO (i.e., LIVE, rather than think about/read about living). My mantra: “Let’s have blog-worthy days!”
I hear you about the perfectionism—that’s been the story of my life, but I’m trying to get out of that mindset (it ain’t easy).
Good luck with your writing and the contests. And good luck with your blog! You’re just getting started, but I think you’ll be pleased with some of the terrific feedback and friends you will make here.
All the best!
Thanks for the encouragement! I’d welcome any blogging advice you have – I’m not fantastically computer-literate (just regular literate – ha!) and am kind of amazed I managed to set this thing up.
P.S. – Checked out your blog and it is really beautiful — and I cannot agree more about the hotness of that Mr. Rochester. I appreciate the humor he brought to the part, which I had not thought was a Mr. R. strong suit. And that actress will forever be the face of Jane for me.
